I am Italian but live in London with my English husband and our children. We go to Tuscany for all too-short holidays and some week-ends. The house is looked after by Sonia and Alberto, whose farm is nearby. They have really taken to heart the day-to-day upkeep of our house & garden - their English is very limited, but they are able to understand what is needed and are always willing to help. Our children have grown up going on holiday to the house, and now they like going there with their friends. It is really easy to relax, in the shady garden or in the sun around the pool. If you feel more active, with a ten minutes drive you'll arrive to Volterra where you can walk around, see the sights, and rest with an ice-cream or three. If you feel like going farther afield, in one hour you'll be in Florence or Siena, where you can spend many hours in museums and churches, not to mention shops of all kind from top designers to local markets. Dive into relaxation & culture under the Tuscan sun.
