Retired university professor.
I am Canadian, but have lived and worked around the world throughout my career, so I have an understanding of the needs of travellers looking for a peaceful place to take a break once in awhile.
I am vegetarian, nonsmoker, but I do like a nice glass of wine or beer with friends.
I love exploring the world. I got the travel bug in my early 20s and have been travelling ever since.
I started my career as a professional filmmaker and photographer, but soon found that I wanted to spend more time abroad living and working in a place to really immerse myself in that culture. I went back to graduate school and learned applied linguistics and curriculum studies, enabling me to work for extended periods of time in Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, the USA, Canada and Qatar.
Now I like reading, writing, editing, playing my guitar and seeing more places in the world. But I have to say: Thailand is my favourite country in the world!
