My wife & I live much of the year in the Levante area of Almeria province in Andalucia. We checked out several countries to buy a place in the sun. We did cruises & viewing trips, but everywhere we fancied was over-developed. After visiting friends here in 2006, we finally found what we were looking for - an area of outstanding natural beauty, no high-rise buildings, welcoming people, low-density population - and quiet roads!
We came across Bedar village after reading in a mag that it was one of top 20 places in Spain to live. Since buying La Meseta as a project in 2007, we've spent thousands on getting it to our standard. Before each rental, we have the villa prepared to our meticulous standards for our guests. Although we get a lot of return visitors, we love helping new guests discover the delights of the valley and the wonderfully scenic Levante area.
I gig around here as a musician, and between the gigs, the fiestas and the social life, we have a great deal of fun down here
