I grew up on the island of Maui, but had never been to the Big Island of Hawaii until roughly 5 years ago...and I fell in love! My husband and I (along with our good friends the McDaniels) decided we just had to buy our 'home away from home' on the island of Hawaii! We found just the perfect place in the Mauna Lani Resort; at The Fairways at Mauna Lani. A tranquil and beautiful resort property with views of the volcanoes (Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea, and Kohala) and the rock lava waterfall at the beautifully landscaped free-form pool.
