John and Jane K. bought Four Tooth Farm in February of 2001 after a long search. Built in 1787 the original farmhouse is one of the oldest properties in Manchester and still boasts many of the original features including a cooking hearth and apple orchard. In 2009 they decided to build the barn across the road. In 2013 the loft was designed and built into a comfortable guesthouse. Built by their son-in-law James Dykstra the barn is handcrafted from the highest quality Vermont wood and designed with both comfort and tradition in mind. The 2009 on the slate roof is part of an old New England practice where many older barns proudly display the year in which they were built. At the end of 2009 John and Jane relocated to Shanghai China and lived there until recently. Some of the items they collected in their travels through Asia can be found in around the barn lending an original blend of rustic New England and Ancient Far-East to the design.
