I am a native New Yorker who has been doing hosted and unhosted apartment rentals for over 10 years with scores of happy guests from both the arts communities, especially opera/theater and the general public, both domestic and international.I speak Spanish, French and Italian and some Russian and Portuguese. My son speaks Swedish and can help me out there if necessary. I am especially passionate about the theater/film scene in NY and can often arrange discounted tix with advance notice. My day job is in the field of arts education, specifically ballroom dance for kids in the NYC schools and I also teach ballroom to adult beginners. I have a bachelors degree in cultural anthropology/linguistics and a masters degree in ESL and can offer personalized tour guiding/language practice in addition to accommodations if desired.

We stayed in the basement apartment over the holidays and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, easy access to the subway (1,2,3) and lots of amenities nearby. Susan is a wonderful hostess, very helpful, professional and accomodating. Thanks for making our vacation stress free and enjoyable. It was nice to have a "home" to come home to each night and not a cramped hotel room.
