I landed in Manuel Antonio from the UK in 2007 on an adventure to study spanish and scuba dive. I fell in love with the country, the culture, the language and wanted to explore more. I made my travels around Latin America and somehow always ended up back in Costa Rica to visit friends. 2.5 years after my first visit I made the decision to stay and have loved it ever since. The air is fresh, the sun is always shining and people live day-to-day based on "pura vida" - the national phrase which means "pure life"!
Jonathan, my boyfriend and co-host is a native Costa Rican or a "Tico" as the locals say. He was born in the city and split time growing up between San Jose and Manuel Antonio. After finishing his studies he made a permanent move the coast leaving the city life behind. His passions are surfing and football (soccer) and sharing his native knowledge with those who come to visit!
