In 1987, innkeeper Gretchen Stephenson (a licensed captain and charter chef), started her first Golden Slipper offering floating Bed & Breakfast accommodations aboard a 1960 Chris Craft 40' Cabin Cruiser. After seventeen years of success, that well-loved vessel was decommissioned in 2007.

Gretchen and her husband Jack have been chartering south of Boston, offering historic boat building (1644-1878) tours since 1997. Many guests of the Golden Slipper have enjoyed these tours, but many also wanted to explore Boston Harbor. So the new boat is maintained and ready to leave the slip if guests desire, for a personalized tour of Boston Harbor. Gretchen’s background as a charter chef adds the extra-special experience of enjoying gourmet dinners for up to six guests either during a romantic sunset cruise or at the dockside.
