What originally started as us seeking meaningful lives, to run a tourism based business, has turned into something bigger than expected.
The dream was to run a small hotel on the beach. Live simple lives. Over the years we have made deep and meaningful connections with our staff and this community. Our WHY has drastically shifted. We didn’t know what it would look like but we knew that together, we wanted to create a business, one that would offer something special. We came up with the name Salt Escapes. (The story behind the name).

We are 3 best friends from Toronto, Canada, in 2013 we found a near deserted stretch of beach in Nicaragua. We now want to share that piece of paradise in Salinas Grandes, Nicaragua with you.
Mark and Matt have past chef careers and Rachel ran a massage therapy and Doula/Labour support practice back home, in Canada. We combined our skills to create a life driven by passion to serve others.
