About 7 years ago a friend of ours invited us to spend a weekend with them at their cabin in Door Country. We had never been to Door County before. We fell in love with the area immediately. The Door County peninsula is surrounded by natural beauty. There is so much to do - hike, walk, bicycle, bird watch, fish, and hunt. The list is endless. It is a great place to spend time with family. I love the fact that there are basically no franchises north of Sturgeon Bay. It is all Mom and Pop businesses.

you have to bring your own linens (including pot holders, dish towels, bath mats, etc). We stayed for 3 nights and not sure it was worth the extra work of making an unmaking their beds then doing laundry when we got home. The location was perfect and we all really enjoyed being on the lake side of the peninsula. There was a lot within walking distance of the house too. We were grateful that …
