My Name is Riona-Connolly Green, and I am a retired second-level teacher. I live here with my Husband and dog Spot in Bru na Mara. Our Family started running Bru Na Mara as a guest house in 1933, and we re-opened as a high quality Self Catering Accommodation centre in 2003.

I have traveled all over the world in the course of my life, and it's very rare to be able to find a place with six entirely different types of landscape within minutes of each other. (Coastal, Mountain, Bogland, Lakeland, Fjord, Meadow)


While teaching offered its own rewards, in helping young people reach their potential over the course of the school year, operating holiday accommodation is very different in that every week new people arrive, usually desperately in need of a rest and relaxation, and at the end of their stay they leave transformed for the better.
