Cabin owner Larry Dumas, a retired Navy Chief and firefighter, volunteers with the Benton-MacKaye Trail Association and is an avid hiker on both the Benton-MacKaye and the Appalachian Trail. He knows all the area's best hiking trails and other local information.
We built this cabin in the woods to be both away from the hustle and bustle of city life and near all the things we love to do including hiking, horseback riding, nature photography and just enjoying the great outdoors.

I was looking for an alternative to fast food and traffic for my family's weekend getaway (husband & wife with three kids age 19, 15 and 8). The Little Cabin in the Woods fit the bill perfectly. The weekend was full of pool and air hockey tournaments, hiking, movies and home cooked meals. The location feels secluded but not remote. The cabin was spacious without being overly large.
