We are the Barsness family and live in the greater Seattle area with our two children. We love the outdoors and have traveled all over the world as a family. We have a cedar log home in the Leavenworth area that we lovingly refer to as 'Big Ponderosa.' The name Big Ponderosa is inspired by the large ponderosa pine trees found on the East side of Washington's Cascade mountains. We enjoy many activities such as skiing, golfing, hiking, relaxing by the beach and more. Our log home is unique because we saved it from demolition and re-located it log-by-log to it's current location. It was our family's largest recycling and building project ever.
