Les Mortiers is our home and very special to us. We have lived here happily for over 12 years, keeping our properties in tip top condition and running a small business making fishing lines in pure silk for trout and salmon fishing. One of the few in the world who still make silk fly lines.

We are passionate about this part of France, the gentle countryside and way of life, the beautiful chateaux and rivers.

Cycle rides and walks are available straight from the door in rolling countryside and forests. The magnificent vineyards of the Loire Valley are a stone's throw away and over our time here we have gained an extensive knowledge of the local wines. We are always happy to give recommendations to our guests.

The grounds of Les Mortiers are spacious, which affords privacy to everyone, and productive too, we often have seasonal produce and fresh eggs available for our guests.
