We are Dave and Phyllis Baseler. We've been married for more than 50 years. We have three daughters and nine grandchildren. For most of our marriage, Phyllis has been a stay-at-home wife and mother. Dave spent more than 30 years in broadcasting and marketing, retiring in 1998 from ServiceMaster. We've lived in Detroit, Chicago and Memphis. In 2000, we moved to a small town in North Carolina to help manage a childen's Bible camp. That turned out to be a big job for both of us. So in 2004, we 'retired' again, only to be thrust into service as the US Director for a mission organization in Pennsylvania. We've now 'retired' from that responsibility, and we spend a good part of our time managing our Gatlinburg cabin. Our children are in Raleigh, Nashville and Charlotte, so we travel a lot to be with them and our grandchildren. Dave serves on several other non-profit boards and still consults with Christian organizations in the areas of branding and identity. He is also actively involved in training non-profit Boards in the Carver model of Policy Governance.
