Landscape Architect Karen Gray was educated at the U.C.
Berkeley School of Landscape Architecture. She and her husband, a designer/builder, bought the historic Point Reyes Schoolhouse in 1978 and restored it along with the sourrounding cottages. She lives part time on the Schoolhouse Compound. Gray personally designed the sheltered outdoor rooms for each guest, furnishing with hammocs, dining sets, chaise lounges and some with outdoor fireplaces. She tailored the gardens, hedgerows and ancient Monterey Cypress on the property provide a rich habitat A longtime amature naturalist, Point Reyes is the
perfect setting for Karen Gray to display her design talents.
