Stonewood Retreat is an eco-friendly luxury sanctuary, set on 2.5 acres of lush Australian Tropical Rainforest. This Executive accommodation is set in the heart of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park, 20 min away from Cape Tribulation &The Great Barrier Reef.
Little Cooper Creek runs through the middle of the Retreat, supplying us with a crystal clear swimming hole, unlimited electricity & all the chemical free, mineral rich water you can drink. It is spring fed and comes from a source high up on Thornton Peak.
Our natural rock pool is set amongst the most amazing slice of forest in our region. Only a short stroll from the house.
Natural waterfalls, the gentle but powerful presence of ancient trees and birds singing, orchestrate an uniquely relaxing melody.
