In 1999, when I found Buenavista I retired to Spain from my job as Appeals Director for a National Charity. At that time the cortijo was decidedly unloved, but the setting and location was fantastic and the house and garden had tremendous potential. I have spent the last seventeen years improving and developing the cortijo, Jasmin Cottage and the gardens. I want people to be able to share what I have created, but not too many! Hence, just the one cottage, for two people, and occasional B&B guests allow the provision of personal attention and ensure the privacy of everyone who wants to enjoy the tranquility and beautiful gardens of Buenavista.
