We are very active "super seniors" who enjoy all the outdoor activities and adventures that "Pagosa Country," Colorado" has to offer including snow skiing, snow shoeing, sledding, river rafting, fishing, hiking, hunting, watching the wildlife, and soaking in our hot tub or the Hot Springs. Our mountain chalet is so peaceful and quiet that the only sounds that you hear as you wake up in the mornings are the sweet bird songs, animal calls, and the soothing sounds of the river below the chalet. The chalet is private, secluded, and a special place of rest, relaxation, and recreation. Although it has an " away from it all" feel , the chalet is located only 5 miles to downtown Pagosa Springs. We named the chalet after the song "America the Beautiful" and the lyric "purple mountain majesties" because the chalet's ridge-top and riverside setting offers guests breathtaking panoramic views of the snow capped San Juan Mountains and the soothing sights and sounds of the San Juan River. The chalet is decorated in mountain lodge furnishings and is equipped with almost everything needed for a vacation to the mountains. Our care taker lives near-by to help us extend hospitality to our guests.
