Claire, husband Malcolm and their family are Caribbean nationals who have lived and worked in several West Indian countries including Barbados, Jamaica and the Commonwealth of Dominica. Our diverse backgrounds reflect in our lifestyle. We enjoy the island way of life, culture and history and the long hours of daylight year round; wonderful climate and food. At present our careers have some of us living in other part of the World....but our many 'roots' are firmly Caribbean!

Why Claire Hendry chose Mount Brevitor

When the opportunity arose to own a home again in Barbados, we jumped at the chance. Island Breeze is finished and set up as if we live there - which, in due course, we will. For now we are happy to share this lovely slice of Caribbean island life with like-minded visitors.

Within it's relatively small land mass, Barbados offers so many interesting things for us to see and do throughout the year. Our interests in music and visual arts are fed by shows, concerts and events that cater to every taste. Here, we have it all - a quiet, relaxed lifestyle on the Vuemont estate and with little effort, and access to the great array of choices that Barbados offers it's visitors - a visual, cultural and culinary cornucopia!

What makes this villa unique

We bought 'Island Breeze' for many reasons. It is spacious and stylish, and because of it's elevated location enjoys cooling breezes that caress the patio and villa much of the year. The privacy, excellent facilities and landscaping, amenities, services and security at Vuemont help to make this a wonderful home location.

Island Breeze is a short stroll to the estate's infinity pool, gym and tennis courts. We enjoy uninterrupted views across one of Barbados' famous gulleys (dry streams) and the cane fields to All Saints Church in one direction, and the Caribbean sea in another.

With all this, we are just 25 minutes from the capital Bridgetown, still closer to west coast beaches, and to the many island attractions. With so many roads, we can easily access all parts of Barbados.
