We are a couple of retired teachers; John in Sciences, Madeleine in Languages. John is American and Madeleine is French. After over 30 years of teaching, we ran a four-star B&B in the northwest of the USA, called Domaine Madeleine. Now that we have been settled in France since 2000, we rent the separate second apartment of our house, both for additional income and for the socialization, as we both continue to enjoy meeting and getting to know people from all parts of the world. Our goal is to provide a unique and memorable experience for our guests. Madeleine continues to teach private students both in French and in English, including to our long term guests. The most frequent comment we hear from our guests is: "You have thought of everything!"
