Captain J's is a family home which my husband family bought and finished building in 1949. In 2006 John acquired the house form his Dad and started on a journey to renovate the old place and make it our home. We started on our journey by tearing out all the flooring downstairs and digging five feet to start to lay a foundation. From there with the help of many hands from friends and family we have finished our family home. We have made the downstairs of our home into a separate suite and have tried to keep the old charm by keeping the original old stove in the sunroom to the claw bathtub in the bathroom.
We love having people over to stay and since we are locals we can help with ideas of what to see and where to go. We love our home and love to give others the experience of enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding us and our friendly village of Gibsons.
