I'm 53 years and I live in L'Aquila, Abruzzo. After the 2009 earthquake I decided to open a B&B in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a beautiful village up on the mountains of the Gran Sasso d'Italia where my grandparents were from. Together with my husband, who is American but works in Rome , we take care of the five apartments and the lawn around the house. We are very attentive to the needs and the requests of our customers and I really enjoy dealing with a foreign clientele

My husband and I visited Santo Stefano in May 2011 and we stayed at the very beautiful Villa Valsi. It was more than we hoped for. Besides being extremely clean and quiet, everything we needed was provided for us.
It was especially helpful that the owner, Rita Visioni spoke excellent English. Since we are american, having someone you can ask questions to and get help and information is so …
