We are a married couple living in the UK. We always used to have a problem finding places to stay on our holidays. We were generally looking for somewhere for the two of us and our young daughter, but because of the economies of buying and renting property, the majority of places on the market sleep four, six, eight, or more. We always used to think that there must be many like us who prefer to stay in self-catering accommodation, but who are not holidaying with a large group. We hope that Le Juchoir represents an opportunity for such people.

We found the site five years ago, when it was just a roofless stone barn, built between houses in a quiet street on the edge of the small, well-kept hill village of Cassagnes. Though we don't live there – yet – we furnished and decorated it as our own home, making it as comfortable as possible, and providing everything you’re likely to need in a holiday home. Happily, all the guests during our first season of operation agree!
