We're Steve & Karen Crandall and we had a dream to escape to the Bahamas and live the Island Lifestyle....except for one reality. We still had to work. So, we we built this 2 level home with the help of some wonderful Bahamian friends and are sharing it with nice renters until we can live in Guanay Cay.
We were lucky to get the help of Lowell Roberts, an experienced, quality builder to guide us. Steve worked every day with the crew sawing, nailing and sharing some laughs to make Karen's house design and kitchen layouts come to life. It was hot, hard work from the clearing of the lot to the finish, but the final construction details are full of quality, durarability and beauty. Thanks to Lowell's wife, Jackie Roberts for fixing Steve home cooked meals and welcoming him in their home. We couldn't survive without the Guana Cay Grocery and the kindness of Sylvan and Emily. Through this building experience, we have felt the goodness of our Guana Cay neighbors.

Our family enjoyed a perfect week at Lemon Tree House on Guana Cay. This is the perfect place for a quiet relaxing away-from-it-all vacation. We had miles of postcard perfect beach all to ourselves and the little village is charming. There's just enough to make it interesting but not so much that it's "touristy".
