Tropical Hideaway has been designed and a great amount of it built, by myself, my wife and our three daughters Samantha, Danielle and Corrie-Anne.
We originally sailed across the Atlantic on our yacht Rainbow Spirit, leaving the UK and making landfall in the Caribbean in 1996. We fell in love with the Grenadine Islands as soon as we arrived. We just couldn't resist the many unspoilt, white sandy beaches, the untouched natural beauty of the islands and the genuine friendliness of the local people. We explored and sailed the Caribbean for a few years, always returning to our favourite Island ‘Bequia’.
In 2007 we finally settled permanently on Bequia to concentrate on finishing the villa, the pool house and the two cottages. Our daughters have now left to start their own lives and adventures, returning often when time and funds allow. Since completion of the project in 2012, we are finally ready to share with you this very special property, and to make your dreams become a reality.

We spent a week in Hibiscus Cottage at Tropical Hideaway in February 2012. We were met by Julie and Martin and made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay.
Tropical Hideaway is situated high up on the hillside overlooking Port Elizabeth. Hibiscus Cottage is the villa that is the furthest down the hillside and offers very peaceful and private accommodation. The …
