I am a professional engineer from Canada, where I had a successful business in Environment. In year 2000 I decided to semi-retire and I was searching a warmer climate where to spend the chilly Canadian winters. I like nature: plants, flowers, arbors, animals, birds, insects and generally every creature on our planet.


Why the Owner Chose Playa Ocotal

I researched many places around the world. Only Costa Rica met fully my basic expectations: a friendly and secure country, exceptional people, ocean, sun and good climate. The testy beer was a bonus! As well the location is easy to get to and from Liberia Airport. Ocotal and its beach are peacefull and they are not crowded with turists.


The Unique Benefits of this Villa

I like the serenity of this place, the incredible mornings with the calm ocean and blue sky, the dreaming sunsets. I like to explore and visit Costa Rica. After eight years in this country I still have to discover many beautiful things and special places.
