Unwind in natural beauty, the way life used to be. Six wilderness lakeside housekeeping cabins – each with its own unique personality. Built in 1901, Spencer Pond Camps are the only cabins on the Pond and fourteen miles from our closest neighbors. Maine Environmental Leader. Rustic "off the grid" no electricity and have outhouses. Family vacation: fishing, hunting, hiking, paddling, nature observation. The cabins are fully furnished - homemade quilts, games, warm woodstoves, docks and canoes included so you can enjoy fishing wildlife watching, and paddling on Spencer Pond. Screened porches on each camp allow you to sit comfortably and watch wildlife, listen to yodeling loons or enjoy the quiet whispering of the wind through the pines. No need to pack your tent, sleeping bag, tarps, cookstove, or camper trailer (these cabins have everything you will need).
