Ron and Shari have been married for years and share a love of the environment, scuba diving, and Akumal. We are both University professors (mathematics and biology) in Southern California and have two grown daughters who also dive. We come down to Akumal every August to stay in our blissful condo, and have tried to decorate it to provide you, our guests, with comfort, culture, and contentment in our little place in Mayan Mexico.. Please enjoy what we have created for you!

When traveling around the world, we scuba in exotic locations, gazing at new animal life and witnessing the modernization of cultures. I have collected masks from these travels that represent the cultural and religious arts of the countries. You can see a portion of my mask collection on the wall above the dining table. Despite all our countries visited, we still love AKUMAL the BEST-it has the most to offer
