I'm Jim Farrier and I purchased this wonderful log home as a weekend home and vacation escape. I love the mountain air with the gentle summer and the deep fluffy snow in the winter. I work about 210 miles away in Vancouver, so I drive a lot, but I've made it here almost every weekend in the past seven years. My interests are nature, meditation, gardening, music, science, business, energy, spirituality, hiking, exploring, creative thinking, alternative health, developing peace and well being. I believe that life is complex with unseen forces and that we are all connected with our roots into the land. I like unusual unique things that have real value even though only a few special people can see the true worth.

I grew up in Tigard, Oregon and lived in Portland much of my life. I became tired of the city and I was fascinated and drawn to the Columbia gorge and mountain areas. I currently live in The Dalles during the 9-5 work week. I've made to the lodge almost every weekend the last 7 years.
