My adobe was purchased from a family who owned all of the surrounding property for more than 100 years (a single descendant still lives next door} as a writing retreat (I am an author and international travel writer). After detailed renovation, not changing original exterior or the over-all interior (except for 21st century comforts) even the lot--an old barn still hovers on a low edge of the property. I made it my principal home. Now, somewhat rickety myself, I find it difficult to commute from my NYC family and my major medical resources. THUS: Your Luck ! to be able to experience updated Southwest Spanish/Indian adobe life in utter comfort…in a totally artistic town that still believes the hippie era has never faded. I still use my home, whenever possible, if not occupied by guests.
