Hi, I'm Ellen from Amsterdam, 44 years old and working as a stewardess for KLM. Meeting the father of my daughter led to building this house. Building villa lucia was a dream come true. Since my mother and ancestors lived in indonesia for a long time but all left about 50 years ago. It felt great to create another home in indonesia. Unfortunately the father and i broke up the relationship while three months pregnant. So I Built it with my mother (then 72 years old) and being pregnant with my daughter. I can honestly say that lots of blood, sweat and tears were shed... but the result... was amazing. The original Joglo ceiling is 150 years old and reminds me of my ancestors then coming to indonesia.I always enjoy being there. The privacy, the luxury... it's much better then my place in Amsterdam ;-)! Everybody looking for an original place with a true soul, is welcome in Villa Lucia. I hope many can enjoy my dreamhouse on bali and treat it as their own.
