We are well known on the island, having been retired here for years. We have somehow known as 'Tony & Jo' as if it was one name! Between having properties that we rent and being involved in the community at large we still find time for traveling to other countries, visiting our children abroad and living the lifestyle that is Utila. We ended up in the hospitality industry by accident and have enjoyed it ever since we got our first hotel on the island. Not knowing anything at all about the service industry we simply decided to use a plan based on what WE liked about some of the places we've stayed in around the world. We now own Utila Vacation Rentals, an enterprise we started because a number of our friends started asking us to rent their properties for them, as well.
