Ten years ago, my husband Andy, daughter Zoe, and I moved a few miles up north from the city of Seattle into our home -- on more than a half acre, in the forest at the end of a private cul-de-sac driveway.

We love it here so much that when the next door property came up for sale five years ago we bought it ! After renovations and restoration, this 1924 home in the woods now serves as our guest cottage for family and friends -- and when it's available we share with guests (like you!) so they too can enjoy our peaceful and private getaway space.

Both Andy and I spent our 20's and 30's traveling all over the world... me with Peace Corps and Andy as a tall ship captain. Fortunately both of us have professions that allow us to travel and when we do we seek out different/homey/creative places to stay.... which allow us to have a better experience all around. So just as we have enjoyed being guests in other people's spaces -- it's now our opportunity to share our cottage and host you, here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
We enjoy travelling, and know that our cottage would be the sort of place we'd love to stay. Andy and I think you'll feel the same way too !
