I'm a designer living on the Central Coast of California specializing in the use of sustainable materials for home interiors. I have been traveling all over Mexico for years and recently had the opportunity to purchase a little house in an amazing part of the Yucatan. It's my dream to share this wonderful part of the world with other travelers. I named the place Casa Maare because in the Yucatec language, 'maare' is slang for 'wow!' I mean, wow, I never thought I'd have a house in Mexico.
