Year Purchased: 2006

About the owner: My Husband and I have travelled extensively. When, one day we sailed to Vancouver Island, we were captivated by the beauty of this entire area and knew that we had found a gem. We felt incredibly fortunate that we really stumbled on this stunning Island and knew that this is where we would love make our permanent home.

Why the Owner Chose Victoria:
The absolute beauty and uniqueness of the valley captivated us. The home with its beautiful gardens and spectacular views. We face South overlooking this beautiful valley, through to the Olympic Mountains of Washington. We can see the Ferries crossing from Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay. We enjoy the proximity to Victoria and the Inner Harbour to the South of us and the picturesque town of Sidney-by-the-sea to the North of us all within minutes away. We are always so happy to return to the Beauty, peace and tranquility of our home. Our property provides an ideal setting for our Equestrian activities, we can enjoy watching our horses grazing peacefully in their pastures..

The Unique Benefits at this Estate:

The absolute beauty and uniqueness of the valley allows us to live in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by farms producing fresh local produce where the honor system is still often used.We are in the perfect location; with easy access to Victoria the capital city of British Columbia, a short 15 to 20 minute drive. Or if we wish to explore this magnificent Island the Pacific Marine Circle Route is the perfect one-day drive. Including visiting West Coast beaches and parks, world famous ancient forests and mammoth trees… with interesting and quaint places to see along the way such as “Point No Point” for tea with a stunning view, French Beach, China Beach, Port Renfrew and the fascinating Botanical Gardens the trailhead of Pacific Rim Park, Cowichan Lake , the list is immense. After a day of sight seeing and discovering new places to return to the peace, beauty and tranquility of Heathwood is a treasure we never take for granted. Victoria and the South Island region is home to many exceptionally talented chefs who turn local products into memorable dining experiences. Taste the amazing foods from the region, fresh produce, Pacific seafood, fine wines and ales at the restaurants in the are or bring the delights you find home to enjoy in your “home away from home” – Heathwood.
