Oldenhoff has stood and been a home for centuries. From the 16th century it was a cattle farm. Granny and granddad Blokland farmed here until 2005 and made a successful cattle rearing business. In the 60s the farm was split between the Blokland brothers Jan and Jaap. With their wives Mien and Lida the cattle rearing continued and horse rearing was also established. Lida continued milking her cows up to 2008.
In the 80s Jan's son Han v. along with his wife Suzanne started a stables and stud farm. This has expanded over the years into breeding, commercial stables and stud farm.
Unfortunately in 2005 a fire razed the old farm house to the ground. Rebuilding was completed in 2010. Two buildings now stand on the site: an oak house built in in the style of a barn with the stables and of course Villa Oldenhoff. Built in the 'Herenhuis' style, that of the Dutch gentry of years gone by, is where you will enjoy your stay at Villa Oldenhoff
