About the owner: Reared in Motown, I left some 30 years ago, returning to an area I had vacationed at as a child. I am now retired splitting my time between Bear Cottage and Sarasota Florida. I hope you can create many fond memories of this place. I have.

Why the Owner Chose Harrisville:
This area of the Lower Peninsula is most unique. Many islands dot the big lake. The variety of wildlife is extensive. Eagles frequent the point on which Bear cottage is located.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The house is 1600 square feet. All rooms are over-sized with separate sitting areas in each bedroom. The house has been updated while retaining its knotty pine charm. Enjoy my library of books accumulated over a lifetime. The lakeside living room is separate from the roadside family room. Television viewing in the family room will not disturb living room tranquility. The 16 x 18 family room may also be used as a third bedroom as it has a queen-sized futon.
