I have tried to bring my skills as an artist, stone mason and carpenter into the construction of this house. I have tried to be as gentle on the environment as possible, reusing wood where I could, harvesting lumber from my property for the hardwood floor and various tree elements. Many things in the house I have saved for years waiting for the right place to use them. It is important to me that my structure blend in with it's surroundings in terms of size, color, material and shapes. I tried to work with the land in the placement of the house and have enlisted the help of the sun for light and heat wherever possible. I hope you enjoy the cabin as much as I do.

I spent a long weekend over Valentine's day at the Hickory Ridge Cabin in Vermont with my girlfriend. The pictures do not do this cabin justice. The house was built by Rick and is one of a kind. The detail to craftsmanship is truly remarkable from the floors to the ceiling and the coffee table with tree stumps for stands to the stone shower room and much more.
