Button's Cottage circa 1886 the original homestead built on the now known "Gaunts" property was completely refurbished in 2008. As children it was used as a workman's cottage where we would visit to play. The ambiance is welcoming, experiencing country living at its very best. We want you to feel part of a working farm, yet not have to rise too early. Depending on the season there may be pet lambs to feed or a brisk walk to the waterfall for reflection.

If you really want to escape to a romantic rural retreat, I cannot speak highly enough of Button's Cottage. We loved it so much we cancelled our other plans to extend our stay here, instead.
It's isolated, at least half an hour's drive to Ulverstone and there's no mobile or internet service (at least with our provider), but that's the beauty of it. I can't remember the last time I felt so …
