In 1996 we (Tabitha Ackaert & Jos D.) started Soul Food, a world-restaurant in the center of Bruges. We ran this succesfully for five years.

We took over a 3 star hotel (de Tassche) after this, but after ten years we wanted to offer our guests a more informal accommodation.

In our backpacking years we stayed in guesthouses many a time. We were attracted to the concept of being able to offer travellers a more home-like and relaxing experience.

We also have a unique restaurant in the centre of the city : Books & Brunch. This is an ideal combo of secondhand bookstore and a brunch/dessert-eatery (but you can just have a cup of coffee or a tea too). Do hop in !
