Twenty years ago we moved from Seattle to Whidbey to find a deeper sense of community. We found a village that welcomes all and pulls people in to its music, art, food, and just plain silliness whether they are here for the day or are old-timers.
After treasuring our private spot on the water in the heart of Langley for twenty years, my architect-husband and I decided to downsize in place. We've converted the lower level of our waterfront home to an apartment for people wanting to enjoy Langley and its surroundings as we do. My husband has retired to a life of writing and reflection and I continue to work as a consultant to non-profits and public agencies in the Northwest.
