Bill and Gay rent the down stairs self contained apartment to visitors from around the world. They enjoy talking to their visitors and sharing a glass of wine with them. They have both traveled the world and have lived interesting lives around the Pacific for 25 years. Their 2 grown up children live overseas.
Bill is a Maori who can trace his ancestors back to Hawaiiki where the Maori came from in the 1300s. They have vast local knowledge and can suggest places for their guests to visit which most tourists never experience.
They are both in their late 60's and enjoy the outdoors. Bill is a CPA and has a fine tenor opera voice. Gay is self employed publishing bi lingual children's stories of Rotorua's historical places. She is also a walking guide for Kia Ora Guided Walks in Rotorua. Bill is chairman of the beautiful Maori Anglican Church and many local Maori Trusts.
