I Chanda S. , am a retired university teacher of English .i stay at Arcadia with my son , his wife, and two young sons.
I have spent some years on Assam tea gardens with my late husband . .This stay resulted in some great friendships with several of the Scottish and English planters..In fact it was while playing hostess to my several Indian and foreign friends that I gathered the confidence to register with the govt paying guest schemescheme.I think I have been able to satisfy my guests, as their observations in the Visitors book and the reviews on Tripadvisor suggest.
I enjoy my work as it gives me a chance to meet people from all corners of the world, and all walks of life .I have formed lasting friendships with people who walked in as strangers.
It gives me great satisfaction to provide comfort and relief to my travel weary, sometimes
even sick visitors.They, in turn ,have recommended Arcadia to their family
