Originally from the central coast of California, Joleen and Steve fell in love with Cedar City while exploring the Southwest and decided to " retire" to the " Festival" City in 2005. After purchasing their first rental property with Steve as the architect and Joleen the designer, a year long renovation resulted in "The Apple Cottage and "The Cider House." In 2008 The Cider House became official housing for the Utah Shakespeare Festival and after another renovation in 2012 The Apple Cottage became a luxury vacation rental as well.

Attention to every detail has been made in renovating and decorating the cottages for your ultimate comfort and pleasure.

Joleen is a master gardener and evidence of her creativity is found in the lovely gardens surrounding the property. She also keeps a small backyard flock of chickens which she adores.
Steve is an avid rock hounder and loves showing people around the area while exploring ghost towns, petroglyphs and historical sites.
