I've lived in Italy for 9 years while I was a soldier in the US Army. When I bought the house- it was like something out of "Under the Tuscan Sun" movie, but not in a good way. There were no windows, doors, stairs, plumbing, or heating. In hindsight, I often wonder what was I thinking when I bought it, but it was a challenge and I am glad I did. When we finally got the home finished and was enjoying living there, the military moved us! There is so much to discover in Tuscany and I couldn't bear to part with the home, so now we are doing the self-catering holiday route. We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do.
