We have traveled to over 30 countries and hundreds of cities, staying at some of the finest hotels in the world. In 2007 we took a 30th anniversary getaway, and departing from our normal hotel stay, we decided to rent an oceanfront condo, direct from the owner, at Kuhio Shores. Spending 10 days there and observing the beauty of Kauai during that time, we were struck with the Aloha spirit. Keep in mind that we had visited the Hawaiian islands approximately 15 times before, but there was a specialness here not found elsewhere. It was at that point we decided we no longer wanted to be just visitors, rather owners. And, in our retirement years be able to spend significantly more time here.
