I am from Austin Texas and came to Bulgaria for the first time in 1995 and decided to open up an office in Sofia in 1996 and its been great and I love living in Sofia!!! I ride my bike 2-3 times a week to Kopitoto which is where the Antena is on Vitosha our beautiful mountain next to us. I highly recommend to go to Kopitoto on Vitosha and there is an amazing view of Sofia both day and Sofia by night is great! You can take a car, taxi or ride a bike only 22 kilometers from the center.
Summer of 2012 I rode my bike with 11 Bulgarians 55 days through 11 countries and over 3,000 kilometers from Sofia to London and arrived two days before the Olympics...it was fantastic! If you need to know the best clubs and restaurants and what to do in Sofia, please contact me for great insight. I am traveling often and liked the idea of AirBnB and the sharing community and a nice way to meet people. I love to travel and meet interesting people, cycling and training, science and space, the internet, ecology and the sharing community. I am very liberal and an environmentalist.
You can see a cool Hookem Horns video of me when I met George Bush in Sofia:
