The B. is located in S. Benedetto dei Marsi, a small town in the heart of Marsica Region. This place is in the middle of the parks system. Among the most interesting places, we can mention the Abruzzo National Park and Sirente-Velino Regional Park, Velino Mountain and Zompo lo Schioppo Protected Area. Pope Bonifacio IV was from S. Benedetto dei Marsi, when the city called Marruvium. It was the capital city of the ancient Marsi’s people. Also Virgilio speaks about it in the seventh book of his own work. Few minutes to get Ovindoli (well-known Abruzzo skiing resort) and about half hour to get Pescasseroli (famous touristic place of Abruzzo National Park).
