I'm British and my family has been in Portugal since 1993, involved in the Port wine trade in Porto. I love the outdoors, travel and sports and bought my apartment in 2004 when I was working in the Port wine cellars up-river. I like it for its location close to the beaches, river and fields in a nice quiet area, which is only a 10 minute drive or an hours' walk along the river road into the historic centre. Best of both worlds in a way. I have been renting it out to families and guests since 2006, who have enjoyed the combination of beach and historic town. The apartment is spacious, renovated and fully-equipped- ideal for groups of up to 6 people. A good base for enjoying a stay in Porto.
